Focus Group Analysis

Through the completion of focus groups, we were able to encourage members of the partner organization to share information on prostate cancer with men and women within their organizations on screening, incidence, and treatment. We were also able to explore how the NC Institute of Minority Economic Development can work with these historically minority organizations to address prostate cancer.

The Focus Groups Focused on:

• Your organization’s current and proposed efforts to address prostate cancer.
• The design of programs to engage members of your organization in prostate health
  awareness activities.
• The challenges or barriers to providing and screening services to your members.
• General prostate awareness questions.

Upon the completion of the focus groups, we comprised an analysis using the information from the individuals from each historical minority organization and would like to include a link on the webpage to the pdf file.
 
The project will use the established newsletters and websites of each organization to disseminate information on the project, including recruitment of volunteers and prostate cancer education.
