This program examines the interface between health, employment and economics.  This Program has been engaged in a highly successful tobacco prevention and cessation project and the On the Ground Prostate Cancer project.

On the Ground Prostate Cancer Project

The impact of prostate cancer on North Carolina is far reaching including the countless number of men and families that have experienced the disease.  After a year-long pilot project in Vance, Granville and Warren counties, the On the Ground Prostate Cancer Project launched an ambitious project to reach a critical mass of men with information on prostate cancer.  The On the Ground Prostate Cancer project is largely supported by a three-year grant from the Community-Focused Eliminating Health Disparities Initiative sponsored by the NC Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities.
